Working checklist

Product data quality audit checklist

Use a small product sample to identify data gaps, their impact and the team that can resolve them.

Quick scan

What to take from this guide.

Sample

Choose real categories

Review products with different variant and media needs.

Findings

Record the gaps

Separate missing data from inconsistent or disputed values.

Action

Assign owners

Make the correction and review path explicit.

A useful quality review records both the finding and the next decision. A score alone does not explain whether a product is ready for a particular destination.

Is the sample representative?

Include different categories, variants and media patterns so a narrow sample does not hide common exceptions.

Which fields are incomplete?

List missing product facts and note which destination or workflow requires each one.

Where do values disagree?

Compare identifiers, units, category assignments and variant relationships across the source and product record.

What media needs review?

Check asset assignment, intended use and ownership of any image correction or selection decision.

Who decides what happens next?

Record the owner, review step and acceptance question for each issue before the next commerce handoff.

Vexa perspective

Keep the product record, quality findings, ownership, and next commerce-preparation step in the same operating conversation.
